A Right Angle prism is the most common type of prism. It is a type of reflective prism which is commonly used to bend an image or redirect light at a 90°. Right Angle prisms, depending on orientation of the prism, may invert or revert the image. Left Handed images are created when using these types of prisms.
Frequently our Right Angle prisms are coated on the hypotenuse with a HR or metallic coating or Total Internal reflection utilized by applying AR coatings on the entrance/exit faces. Right Angle prisms are also used to form cubic beamsplitters.
